Clouds rolling in on 30-A, did not ruin our last beach day before school called Mr. Smith.

Childhood Friends
Happy Birthday to two ladies (three) whose birth dates are forever etched in my gray matter.
August 5th - Sarah Elizabeth White, my friend since 4th grade. Sally gave birth to five children and adopted a sixth. A superior Mother!!!!!!
August 8th - Sara Evelyn Matthews Goolsby, my friend since her birth. She arrived into this world on her Mother's birthday. What a gift Sara was to her birth family and to her community.
I know the plans they had for themselves. Sally was to be an author and Sara was to be a veteranian. The Lord prospered them in ways they never imagined. Successful and strong these two ladies are in every way.

Armed with two cameras, we took in as much of the "City of Lights" as humanly possible in just over 24 hrs. The next day our family group drove out of Paris and through the countryside to Caen. It was in Caen that we met a Danish angel and her son.(another time) Holy ground would describe the beaches of Normandy which was our next destination. The only tears I shed while on our trip were during the walk through the National Museum and Cemetery.

White Coral Bells
upon a slender stalk, lilies of the valley grace our garden walk. Oh, don't you wish that you could hear them sing......don't I wish that I could sing.
It is not to be. My gift is to appreciate and encourage the gift of song in others. I must practice the gift of genuine praise today. Ultimately, we praise God by showing His Love to those who share our daily walk.
Thank you, Mrs. Yarbrough!
